Knowing your buyers and building your network

The Changes that have occurred  over the past year have changed the business playing field in more ways than one, and one of the biggest changes has been in the way small businesses can market themselves. While networking was part of the “old way” of doing things its’ effectiveness often left a lot to be desired, not the least of which was the limited ways in which small businesses could connect to their buyers and potential buyers.

Instead of randomly finding buyers through direct marketing, advertising etc. we can now focus our efforts directly on folks who would most likely need our stuff, in the process we can build networks of evangelists to severely reduce the randomness of sales we suffered through back in the day. The list below focuses of building relationships and networks with our buyers.

What have you learned and put into practice about building your network and getting to know who would be the best person to buy your stuff?
