The Art of Strategy: Creating A Strategic Planner
How long have you had the same goals on your list of achievements? Do you have ideas and project that continue to linger and languish—either as plans on paper or incomplete starts? Are you thinking of starting another new project, but don’t know how to prioritize this one so it gets done? Do you know what you should be doing, but procrastinate or feel overwhelmed about it? Or do you want to know how to direct yourself or people you work with (or live with) to get specific results?
If any of these scenarios ring true, spend a few hours to learn and apply The Art of Strategy to whatever new or undone project you’d like to see turn out even better than expected.
The Art of Strategy provides a framework for determining the results you want to achieve, a workable plan for making it happen, and a way to regularly monitor progress and make adjustments as you go.
In this workshop you will learn:
- The three top reasons why goal-setting fails to get us the results we want, and how to change that equation so that it works
- How to get your important projects off the back burner
- Ways of dealing with overwhelm and procrastination
- How strategic thinking and planning helps your creative process
- The difference between objectives, strategies and tactics: and why you need to know how to make these three tools work for you
- How to empower yourself with a SMART vision
- The magic of the “stop-doing” list
These are incredibly powerful tools that align your conscious and subconscious mind, with carefully planned action steps and plans that keep you moving forward. This workshop is not about making wimpy resolutions or wishful thinking. This is about kicking some major creative butt so you can get the results you know you want.
You will learn, practice and apply these tools using the fun, engaging visual journal process introduced in The Creative Entrepreneur. The Strategic Planner is a power tool you can adapt and continue to use on your own, long after the workshop.
You will leave with a strategic plan for yourself or your business, beautifully crafted into your own, unique, visual strategic planner.
You will also create a SMART vision card (or a whole deck, depending on how fast you work!) to keep in your strategic planner and use to stay motivated, inspired and on-track with your passion and purpose.

Just comment below and tell us why you think Visual Journaling will help you and what you think it can help you with. Are you experiencing a creative block? Are the two sides of your brain getting along or is one more dominant than the other? What is your biggest barrier to engaging your left brain or for that matter the right brain? Be imaginative, be creative and don’t be afraid.

I believe I have just touched on this by happenstance. I am part of a project for the ART HOUSE in Atlanta, where they give you a sketch book and you fill it and then it goes back to them to be part of a traveling library book. As I am working on this I can see the benefits of this workshop. I have made vison boards, and some torn magazine books but never taken a project to the point of a visual journaling. This could truly benefit my work, my business. I am so excited about visual journaling and would relish a free ticket!!
I am in the throws of starting a new business –reinventing myself really. After many years of working in the publishing and corporate world a layoff has forced me to follow my dream. I have created RiverTown Press (Journals & Cards: hand-printed, hand-crafted, eco-friendly), and although I have so many ideas for my little company I have not yet gotten much past struggling to create designs and produce inventory to sell at the Farmers Market in our town.
I have just started reading Lisa’s book ‘The Creative Entrepreneur’, and I think her workshop, in addition, would help propel me forward! I am, of course, a visual person –and love to create visual pages in my journals already.
I did not see the date for the Art of Strategy Workshop? Di di miss it or can I sign up?
Sorry it is an on-line workshop with downloadable content forum access to Lisa. This way you can download the lessons and get coaching from Lisa in the forum.
