Marketing has not had a good rep, particularly among us creative types, we like to see ourselves as above such mundane things as having to sell our work. However, the hard truth is unless we are independently wealth, win the lottery or have a rich aunt... we have to market our work.
The honest truth is most of us are marketing our stuff and we just don't know it...every time we answer that ridiculous question of "so..what do you do?" we are marketing. Every time we tell Aunt Martha about our new stuff we are marketing. So here we'll revisit some of the more general marketing discussions of 2009...
